the CBE work environment - a culture of success
The
Calgary Board of Education (CBE) is a world-class public education system
that originated on March 2, 1885. As one of the largest public school
systems in Canada , we have over 13, 000 employees who positively impact
the lives and learning of nearly 100, 000 Calgary students.
The CBE community is united with common purpose, and focused direction. The glue of our community is the bond of relationships, including those formed among students, parents, community members, and our staff. It is through these relationships that we draw strength, encouragement, and the stamina to engage in our complex, challenging, exceptionally rewarding work. Our relationships unite us as we come together collectively to benefit today's youth, and to inspire their future.
The Calgary community has entrusted the CBE with an enormous responsibility - to help its children and youth attain the attitudes, skills and knowledge required for them to fully participate as contributing members of society. The commitment of our staff to this work is laudable, whether they are working directly with our students or providing much needed support services.
On a daily basis, we see exceptional examples of relevant, engaging and challenging opportunities for learning that are being facilitated by our extraordinary staff members in our schools and departments. Our successes are achieved in a culture built on valuing excellence and diversity.
