The Calgary Board of Education provides benefit coverage to its employees
and their dependents during retirement years. Generally, the plan includes
hospital and medical expenses that are not covered by Alberta Health and
Wellness, basic and major dental expenses and life insurance. When a retiree
turns age 65 they will be issued a paid-up life policy in the amount
of $5,000. All benefits, other than life insurance, will cease at
the end of the month in which you reach age 65.
