Earl Badger, Environmental Projects Coordinator
A Professional Engineer (APEGGA) and Project Management Professional (PMI) with a broad technical background including energy efficient building envelopes, alternative energy technologies and energy management practices. Earl’s primary roles are to manage the facility improvements completed through energy performance contracting, including adoption of alternative energy technologies, and develop energy management strategies and policies.

Steve Makowski, Community Projects Consultant
A Communication Electrician Journeyman and a certified teacher who has recently returned to the CBE after 3.5 years seconded to Alberta Education. Before that Steve was a Curriculum Specialist for Career and Technology Studies for both senior and junior high schools in the CBE and also taught electricity and electronics in several high schools.

Ken Orom, Energy Coordinator
A technician with experience at the CBE working with Facility Operators and Maintenance to monitor and program energy control systems and work to reduce energy consumption through energy retrofits, recommending building control systems, and other energy reduction initiatives.

and environmental literacy who provides strategic leadership to initiatives

Deborah Wehnes, Waste & Recycling Coordinator
A senior facility operator with experience in building operations, energy management, waste management and recycling. Deborah’s role is to provide technical, operational and advisory services related to waste reduction, recycling, diversion and management.

Olena Olafson,
Community Projects Coordinator (Currently on temporary leave)
A professional engineer with experience in mechanical design and
project management; leadership positions in various community groups and
not for profit organizations. Olena’s role is to facilitate partnerships
and relationships within the CBE and between the CBE and the community
with respect to operational environmental literacy, energy efficiency
and sustainability.
Andry Lvov, Energy Technologist
An Automation Specialist experienced with Building Management Systems, focused on implementation of Energy Conservation strategies through modern technologies in Automation Industry for Building Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning systems.

Linda's role is to monitor the utility usage at each of the Calgary Board of Education sites, investigate any problems and be a contact person for the energy department.
