Digital Citizenship Cohort

Given the rapidity of change in the world of technology, it is important that schools also establish a mechanism for adaptation and enhancement of Digital Citizenship Plans to meet evolving needs and realities as they emerge. A cohort of schools with representation from each Division-Level and Area across the system has been created to dig into questions and issues related to emerging possibilities. Members of the cohort meet several times a year to explore challenges and address questions related to digital citizenship and the emergence of new technologies. The conversation and work done at the schools related to the big questions is used to both make recommendations and identify a range of successful strategies for addressing them that is both effective and flexible enough to meet the diverse needs and contexts of schools.

The intent is for these recommendations and the evidence gathered from the work of the cohort will be used to develop a system approach that incorporates a menu of options that schools may choose from to personalize their own affirmation process based on their needs and context.
