RADISSON PARK SCHOOL – OFFICIAL NAME FOR NEW
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE COMMUNITY OF RADISSON HEIGHTS

Calgary Board of Education Trustees voted on May 16, 2006 to approve the name Radisson Park School for the new school that is scheduled to open this September in the community of Radisson Heights.

A school naming committee, comprised of two trustees, three community members representing the school communities from Albert Park and David D. Oughton elementary schools, and the principal of the school was convened in April 2006. Community input resulted in 17 proposed names for consideration.

The name Radisson Park School was chosen and brought forward to the Board of Trustees for their approval last night.
