Greening of Senator Patrick Burns School photo opportunity

CALGARY — Media are invited to attend a "Greening of Senator Patrick Burns School" event.

(best photo opportunities will be from about 12:30 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.)

Senator Patrick Burns School
2155 Chilcotin Rd. N.W.
(corner of Northmount Drive and Charleswood Drive N.W.)

The event will start in the school gym and then move outdoors to an area where students and staff have been working on a project to "green" the school grounds. A partner in the project is Tree Canada, a not-for-profit, charitable organization which provides education, technical assistance, resources and financial support to encourage Canadians to plant and care for trees. 3M Canada sponsored the program. Grade 6 students will discuss their work with the Spyhill Forest Project and Naturescapes.
