AUSTRALIAN STUDENT PERFORMERS BRING HISTORY OF DOWN UNDER
TO CALGARY SCHOOLCHILDREN
Student performers and chaperones from Ringwood, Victoria, Australia are in Calgary from March 16 to 20, 2004 as part of a world tour that takes them next to Europe and South East Asia. The 40 performers from Ringwood Secondary College will deliver four 50-minute performances that convey the history of Australia from its aboriginal beginnings, through the last three decades. The colonial era, the gold rush, the world wars, the advent/impact of television and rock and roll are all brought to life through student performances of song, dance, mime, drama and music
