NO NEED FOR RESOLUTION - CALGARY WILL HOST A
FANTASTIC JUNIOR NATIONALS DEBATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Canada’s brightest young debaters will put their quick wit to the test hoping to take home the coveted 2010 Junior Nationals Debate Championship.

This year’s competition promises to be outstanding, with interesting and substantial debate topics such as “be it resolved that a strong dictatorship is better than a weak democracy”. The remaining topics will be impromptu, giving teams only 30 minutes to prepare their arguments. Both Cross Examination and Canadian National styles will be used throughout the competitions.

Seven provinces will be represented at this competition, totaling 36 teams of two debaters.  The tournament will run for three days, co-hosted by Langevin School and the Calgary Science Charter School.  The finals will be held on Sunday, May 16 at the Delta Bow Valley.
