QUEEN ELIZABETH HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS UP
WITH THE CANADIAN WOMEN’S NATIONAL HOCKEY TEAM
TO LAUNCH NEW SCHOOL PROGRAM
Queen Elizabeth High School, in conjunction with the Canadian National Women’s Hockey Team and the humanitarian organization Right to Play, will launch the Athlete Ambassador School Mentorship program.
Team Canada Captain Haley Wickenheiser and teammates will be at the school to celebrate the partnership. Wickenheiser will lead a discussion with students about leadership, goal-setting and perseverance, highlighted by her personal experiences visiting Rwanda. Afterwards, members of Team Canada will challenge a group of students to a game of floor hockey.
Right to Play is an athlete-driven international humanitarian organization that partners with athletes from around the world to bring sport and play to the lives of children affected by war, poverty, disease and illness.
