The CBE is making an adjustment to school start and end times at many schools for the 2017-18 school year.
Bell times will be aligned at all schools that use transportation service. After bell times are aligned across the whole system, yellow school buses will be able to complete at least two routes each morning and two each afternoon. Partnering of routes will save a significant amount of money - $3.5 million in 2017-18, and an additional $1.5 – 2 million in 2018-19.
Some schools will also see the introduction of an early dismissal day in 2017-18.
The document linked to below lists bell times for all CBE schools for the current (2016-17) school year as well as the new bell times for 2017-18 school year.
Changes of more than 30 minutes to a school start or end time will not take effect until the 2018-19 school year.
Start and end times for all schools have been confirmed. Early dismissal times are not yet confirmed for all schools. Early dismissal times will be confirmed in a letter sent home by your school's principal at the end of May.
