SMS (Text Message) Terms & Conditions

We use SchoolMessenger to communicate with parents and guardians by phone, email, or SMS (text message). Schools may choose to send messages in one or more of these ways. If you have a child currently registered at a CBE school and would like to be eligible to receive text messages from your school or from the CBE, you need to opt in.

You can opt in to receive text messages by following these two steps:

  1. Speak with your school to make sure that they have your mobile phone number on file. If you have more than one child attending a CBE school, confirm that your mobile phone number is on file for each student
  2. From your mobile phone, use your SMS (text message) application to send the word YES to the six-digit short-code number 978338

Note that some messages may be sent only by phone or email, and not available by SMS.

To be eligible to receive commercial electronic messages (about topics like student fees, picture days, field trips and fun lunches) by SMS or by email, subscribe online.

Text message frequency may vary. The CBE does not charge you for receiving SMS messages.  Standard message and data rates may apply from your carrier when you receive messages from us.

After you have opted in, you may opt out at any time by sending the word STOP to the six-digit number 978338. You can get more information by sending the word HELP to the six-digit number 978338.

We do not share or sell your personal information, including your phone number, with any third parties. Learn more about our privacy policy.
