TLC Students Continuing in High School

Program Details

• Character education is continued through Locally Developed mandatory courses at Grades 10, 11 and 12.
• Students continuing in the TLC program are grouped and supported in a congregated Teacher Advisor setting.
• Students are encouraged to choose academic enrichment that meets their learning needs.
• Second language course is optional.
• Students who have participated in band in Grade 9 are accommodated in the Band program in high school

  • Students continue character education through working towards a certificate in Character-in-Action

Expectations of TLC High School Students

• Students are at or above grade level, are willing to accept the challenge of a rigorous academic curriculum and are eager for knowledge and service.
• Students wear uniforms on occasions as identified by the school.

Expectations of TLC Parents

• Parents, students and teachers have clear and shared expectations around assessment of various kinds.
• Parents demonstrate commitment to program guidelines and expectations.
• Parents are informed of the opportunities for academic enrichment.
