The CBE's progress toward achieving the outcomes of Ends 5: Character is summarized in the latest monitoring report submitted to Trustees on June 16, 2009. Members of the AISI funded "Partnerships that Impact Student Learning" team presented their work to the Board.
My CBE school has always supported and encouraged me to try my best to succeed and achieve my goals. They have taught me skills in life, self respect, and responsibility that I need in order to be able to deal with the obstacles of life and society. They have not just taught me education, but also skills needed for job searching and the ways of getting a job. (High School Exit Survey)
How do we know we are achieving our outcomes? Some of the ways we demonstrate evidence of the attributes of character (outputs) and opportunities for students to develop character (inputs), are through:
- School Analysis qualitative information
- Inventory of Programs Survey qualitative and quantitative data
- Alberta Education's Accountability Pillar Survey
- CBE's High School Exit survey
- School Development Plans and AISI Promising Practices
- Report Card Descriptors
