Construction Status The school was handed over to the Calgary Board of Education on May 25, 2011.Commissioning of the mechanical and electrical systems 30% complete. Deficiency corrections being completed. Landscaping is complete; installation of the artificial playing field should be complete by the end of October. The City of Calgary arranging alternative playfields and transportation until playfields are operational. The parkade’s lower floor is operational and open for Calgary Board Education use. School requested work progressing. School News Ernest Manning High School opened September 2011 as a Grades 10-12 school with an opening capacity of 1800. Additional Information Ernest Manning High School is located in the Springbank Hill community and will be part of the area plan for Area IV (Sydney Smith, Director).
