southwest community of Altadore. The designated secondary schools for Altadore School are

Central Memorial High
School.
About the School
The school was built in 1952 and is situated
on 5.0274 acres. The school has 14
classrooms with features such as a
library, computer lab, music room, staff/conference room, gymnasium, and an art/science room. The entire school is networked including the library, the classrooms and the computer lab. Our outdoor environment features a creative playground, a large playing field, and an award-winning naturalization area, "The Owl's Nest."
About School Name
The origin of this name is still a mystery at this time. Local historians and archivists at the City of Calgary and the Glenbow Museum are as curious as we are to where the name "Altadore" originated.
