School Mission

To encourage excellence, responsibility, mutual respect and life-long learning.

The Nickle School Community, including students, teachers, and parents, thrives in an inviting environment where all members are recognized and valued as both learners and leaders. Interdependence is seen as a strength of our learning community. A sense of shared responsibility and common purpose leads to the development of a creative spirit and a commitment to lifelong learning.

The nurturing learning environment encourages compassion and acceptance of others' diversity. Respect for self, for others, and for the environment is evident in our interactions with one another and the physical appearance of our school. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are developed in a culture where taking risks and making mistakes are accepted as necessary and integral components of the learning process. Learners accumulate knowledge through connections with their prior experiences, relationships, values, and the program of studies. Our community members strive to optimize technology in learning. The school community takes great pride in its efforts and accomplishments.

A pervasive sense of energy, well - being, and optimism is evident among all members of our learning community. We face the future with confidence for we have acquired the values, the tools, and the skills to ensure success. Our potential for learning is limitless!

We are eager to tackle the challenges of the 21st century.
