Ernest Manning High School is
located south of the Bow River, west of Crowchild Trail and adjacent to the Westbrook Mall. Ernest Manning is within 20 minutes of downtown Calgary, the University of Calgary, Canada Olympic Park, as well as all other major facilities and institutions. It serves the
communities of Aspen Woods, Christie Park,
Coach Hill, Cougar Ridge, East Springbank,
Glenbrook, Glendale, Glengarry,
Killarney, Patterson Heights,
Richmond Hill, Rosscarrock, Shaganappi, Signal
Hill, Springbank Hill, Spruce Cliff, Strathcona Park,
Westgate, West Springs and
Wildwood.

About the School
The school was built in 1963 and is
situated on 13.44 acres. The school
has 36 classrooms, 3 gymnasia, fitness centre, full-service cafeteria, library,
and Career Technology Studies facilities offering automotives, construction, design, food and fashion studies as well as metal technologies.
NOTE: Ernest Manning High School is relocating to 69th Street and 17th Avenue SW as part of the West LRT construction. A new school will be constructed PRIOR to the relocation of Ernest Manning High School. Our current school site will continue to offer excellent educational programs and offerings until the new school is completed, scheduled for 2011 school year.
About School Name
The school was named after one of the many great premiers of Alberta. Mr. Manning served as premier for 25 years and lead the province during a period of tremendous growth and development. The spirit of growth, change and innovation continue at Ernest Manning High School today.
