A.E. Cross School is located in the southwest community of Glenbrook, serving the communities of Glenbrook, Glamorgan, Killarney, Glengarry, Lincoln Park, Rutland Park, Garrison Green, Richmond Hill, Signal Hill and Signature Park. Major elementary feeder schools to A.E. Cross School are Battalion Park, Glenbrook and Glendale. Students from A.E. Cross School move on to Central Memorial, Ernest Manning or Western Canada High Schools.

About the School

The school was built in 1960 and is situated on 13.467 acres. The school has 39 classrooms, a cafeteria, 2 gymnasium, and excellent facilities for band, dance, drama, art, career technology studies, and computer technology.
The Area 4 Office moved into A.E. Cross in September 2012. It occupies 6 classrooms on the main floor in the southwest corner of the school.

About School Name
| Alfred Ernest Cross, one of the "Big Four", was an early rancher, developer, and businessman in Calgary at the turn of the century. A.E. Cross achieved much in his lifetime. At one time, he owned the largest ranch in the province, served as an M.L.A., and built the Calgary Brewing Company. He was married to the eldest daughter of Colonel Macleod.
