school profiles

Please note | we’re building a new interactive mapping tool to make it easier to find schools using a familiar web interface, and will no longer be using the maps on this page. Because of that, these interactive maps show the boundaries for the 2013-14 school year, and may not be accurate for the 2014-15 school year. For current information, please refer to the “find a school by address” tool to find your designated school, see the list of schools by residential district and grade, or visit the school profile of the school you’re interested in to see the walk zone map in PDF. Thanks for your understanding, and we look forward to sharing our new site with you soon.

The school is located within the northeast community of Coventry Hills and serves the residents of this community. Currently the school serves Kindergarten to Grade 3. Students move from Coventry Hills School to Nose Creek for Grades 4-8. Coventry Hills School offers programs as outlined in the Alberta Education Program of Studies. We believe children learn in many ways and therefore offer students opportunities to use many forms of literacy, such as visual and performing arts, technological and mathematical literacies to enhance student learning.

About the School

Coventry Hills Modular School opened with Kindergarten and Grade 1 in 2002. The school in its second year expanded to serve Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2. Currently, Coventry Hills serves Kindergarten, Grades 1, 2, and 3. Our school building opened on September 27, 2005.

As the building was under construction, students were housed in a temporary location and then in a modular school which was built in 2002. Staff and students moved there from a temporary site in February 2003. The structure of the many classroom areas lends itself to team teaching.

The school includes spaces for music as well as a large gymnasium and auxiliary gymnasium. Our library media centre is a space that respects intellectual freedom and encourages information literacy. A large multi-purpose area (called the Grand Hall) and library are centrally located.
