The school accommodates students in grades 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 in several different programs: Late Immersion, Continuing Immersion, National Sport Academy – Hockey, Soccer and Lacrosse, Traditional Learning Centre.

Fairview School serves many communities for their different programs. The boundaries for our French Immersion program are all communities south of Glenmore Trail and east of Macleod Trail. School Mission

We are committed to providing a safe and caring environment where every student can experience success. This atmosphere enhances the learning process and allows students the opportunity to achieve their potential. We pursue this goal by emphasizing academic excellence, self-discipline and respect for the rights of others.

At Fairview, we believe that:

  • the learner-teacher relationship is the heart of the learning experience
  • schools as communities of learners are characterized by physical and emotional security, respect, trust, caring, innovation, open communication and shared decision-making.

The process of education is a mutual concern of parents, students and educators and it is through a strong partnership that this process is maximized. We encourage parents to become active partners in their child's education and become involved in school programs and activities.

  • School Motto

    Come Soar With The Eagles.

    Unique Points

Fairview is a complex and dynamic school that serves students from a large number of south Calgary communities. It has a great group of people working in a strong partnership with parents and students. An active and supportive Parent Council meets monthly to provide input into the operation of the school. As well, numerous parent volunteers contribute to the success of our programs.

With support, we strive for the right balance between activities (teams, clubs, intramurals) and the important learning activities that take place in the classroom. This combination adds to our climate and school culture. A climate that supports positive student growth, learning, participation and excellence.
