background

Character Interpreted , by Dr. Croskery:

Educators embrace the following statement from Alberta Education: "Character development does not happen for half an hour a day during social studies. It is woven throughout the school day for all students and is integrated into the curriculum, discipline policies and co- and extracurricular activities."

how do we measure it?

•  Participation in character development programs and activities
•  Perceptions of students, parents and teachers
•  Student response team annual report
•  On-going initiatives

Note: To understand how this data is used to measure progress on Ends 5, see the benchmarks and indicators outlined in the Character Monitoring Report .
