Please read any - or all - of the information we've pulled together for you below. Just click on a link to find out more about a particular aspect of internet safety for your child.

Web Awareness in the CBE
Curriculum & Learning Technologies

The Calgary Board of Education has taken a number of steps to address issues relating to student safety on the Internet and develop a long-term web awareness and information literacy strategy for CBE staff, students and parents.
As part of its efforts to find a reasonable balance between student safety, appropriate use of the Internet and the achievement of curricular outcomes, the CBE has updated its filtering procedures and has asked schools to complete a web awareness process for staff, students and parents.
