Acting Chief Superintendent
A Season of Gratitude

We are so lucky to live in a society where every child is welcomed into our schools regardless of their background, ability, or financial status. In the past few years especially, many newcomer families have journeyed to Calgary and are registering their children at schools across the city. With the dedication and commitment of more than 15,000 employees, each student will have the opportunity to shine in their learning. In this season of gratitude, I’m thankful for the opportunity to help young people succeed, and for the caring people who make it possible.

Advocating on Behalf of Students

This year, we are welcoming more students than ever into our schools. We have been meeting with the Minister of Education and MLAs to outline the impacts of high enrolment and how the CBE is managing this growth. We are grateful for the additional funding provided by the government to provide an excellent educational experience for all students, and we are continuing to advocate on behalf of the 138,000+ students we serve.
