This move supports the growing enrolment in CBE high schools and helps create space for students across the city.
Chinook Learning Services adult Continuing Education (non-credit) will continue to operate independently; see Continuing Education for more information.
In the Three-Year School Capital Plan 2027-2030, Spruce Cliff School has been identified as a possible long-term replacement school for Chinook Learning Services.

About High School Upgrading at Chinook Learning Services
Chinook Learning Services is the Calgary Board of Education's provider of in-person High School Upgrading and completion. Students of all ages come to Chinook to:
- Complete a high school diploma.
- Increase competitive average and/or deepen curricular understanding as a bridge to post-secondary.
- Upgrade to a higher academic stream.
- Learn in an inclusive, adult environment.
Chinook offers morning, afternoon and evening classes, multiple intakes, and supports individual needs to allow students flexibility in achieving their goals.
