Bus Routes & Stops
Once a student has been added to a route, families can find the bus stop location and time information, or request a change, through MyCBE.
Service Delays & Adverse Weather
In the case of delays, service providers have various ways of keeping families updated. Learn how to prepare for adverse weather or other delays.
Bus Safety & Orientations
Whether your child is taking the bus for the first time or returning for another year, you'll find important information about bus safety, rider responsibilities, transportation procedures, and what to expect on the first day.
Conditional Ridership
Students who aren't eligible for transportation because they live inside the walk zone, have a different walk zone than a younger sibling at the same school, or are not attending their designated school may apply to become conditional riders. Conditional ridership:
- Is not guaranteed
- Must be applied for every year using MyCBE
- Must be approved by Transportation Services before riding
- Has a fee
- Is offered on a first come, first served basis
- Means the student must access an existing stop
- Is granted based on the above criteria; should routes change or if qualified students are added to a route and the bus becomes overcrowded, conditional riders may be removed to accommodate these changes
Parents / Guardians Must
- Apply for their child to become a conditional rider and will be notified by email if their child can be accommodated as soon as space and availability is determined. Applications are approved if there is available space on the bus.
- Have alternate transportation arrangements in place in case approval is not received before the start of the school year, in case the registration is not approved, and/or in case the conditional rider status is removed in the school year. This is a set fee for the school year that is not adjusted based on actual usage.
Alternate Addresses
For an additional fee, we allow families (including conditional riders) to add a maximum of one additional address to their transportation registration to support childcare arrangements and changing family schedules (for example, pickup at one address and drop-off at another, one address on certain days of the week and a second address on the other days of the week, or alternating between addresses every other week).
The alternate address must still be within the school's attendance area but outside of its walk zone, and applying for an alternate address does not guarantee a stop at the exact location of the second address.
To participate in the program, you must:
- Register for transportation (using your primary address) in MyCBE by the deadline and pay the assigned fee.
- Fill in the Request for Alternate Address form in MyCBE and provide one additional address and schedule for your child. Note: the form will only appear after your initial transportation registration is complete.
We will review each request to determine if the request can be accommodated. Families will be notified of the decision within six weeks of application.
The cost of the alternate address stop, if approved, is in addition to the basic transportation fee outlined above.
