This is a friendly reminder that the non-instructional day previously identified for Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, was moved to Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, to accommodate the provincial referendum that would see schools utilized as polling sites.
For Unique Settings, this move means that the Non-Instructional Day will be attached to the October break the previous week.
The development of instructional calendars is guided by current legislation, provincial examination schedules, and stakeholder feedback. Each calendar includes a minimum of 181 instructional days, as well as 10 system-wide days allocated for parent-teacher conferences, professional development, and other organizational activities.
