Monetary Donations (Cash)
EducationMatters, CBE's dedicated fundraising partner, processes all of the monetary donations for CBE. EducationMatters is a registered charity.
There are a number of ways you can donate:
1. Donate to a specific school or a school campaign | Support a school or school campaign raising funds to support and enhance student success.
2. Become a monthly donor | A regular gift allows EducationMatters to plan for the future.
3. Give to a grant or endowment | Provide funding for programs and initiatives that go beyond what is supported by government.
4. Text to donate | An easy way to donate to support students.
5. Gift match | If your employer offers gift matching, you can choose EducationMatters as the recipient.
Online donations are the preferred method for donations of $20,000 or less. Cheques can be made out to EducationMatters and mailed to: EducationMatters, 1221 8 Street SW, Calgary AB, T2R 0L4 .
Tax receipts will be issued by EducationMatters for monetary donations of $20 or more. If you're making a donation of more than $20,000 please contact EducationMatters.
An administration fee of 3.5 per cent is charged on the total amount of the donation being processed, which is similar to other charities. This fee helps to cover the cost of processing the donation and overhead costs incurred.

If you have multiple items in different categories, please fill out the form for each item. This will help us to process your offer more efficiently.
We are always happy to receive donations that benefit students and schools; however, we may not be able to accept all items given the ever-changing needs of our schools.
If your donation is not directed to a specific school, it will be posted on an internal webpage, so any school in need of that item will have the opportunity to request it. Donation offers will be posted for one month. If you do not hear from us within one month of filling out the in-kind donations form it means we are not able to accept your item.
CBE will not issue tax receipts for in-kind donations.
