CALGARY – Students and staff at Collingwood School are holding their third annual “Semana Cultural,” a Spanish cultural week.

The theme this year is “Gastronomia.” Throughout the week, students will be visiting other classes to share their learning about food and culture in various Spanish-speaking countries. Presentations will include puppet shows, food and displays.

The week will begin with a kick off assembly featuring shadow puppets and a musical performance with cutlery. Students will also participate in a master chef junior contest featuring celebrity judges from Salt & Pepper restaurant and La Salsita Mexican food market.

News media are invited to attend the assembly. Students and teachers from the Spanish Bilingual program will be available for interviews.
