CALGARY – The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that cousins Andrew Hall and Jeremy Bryant, founders of Mealshare, are the seventh recipients of the CBE’s Legacy Award. The award will be presented at the Public Board Meeting on Tuesday, May 15.

Andrew Hall is a graduate of William Aberhart High School, while Jeremy Bryant graduated from Henry Wise Wood High School. In 2013 they founded Mealshare, an organization dedicated to ending youth hunger. Since then, Mealshare has provided over 1.9 million meals to people in need in cities across Canada and the U.S.

The CBE Legacy Award celebrates public education in Calgary and the individuals who have contributed to our communities. In every corner of the city, across the country and beyond, CBE alumni have made a lasting impact.

Public education makes a difference in our communities, our country and our world. Legacy Award recipients will embody the work of the public education system and represent the legacy of the CBE: preparing students for life, work and inspiring life-long learning.

Nominations for the Legacy Award are accepted year round. The form is available on the CBE website at www.cbe.ab.ca/about-us/board-of-trustees/Pages/legacy-award.aspx
