CALGARY — Royal Oak School is celebrating Family Literacy Day on Friday, Jan. 27 with a special assembly featuring Calgary Stampeders offensive lineman, Spencer Wilson. Wilson will be reading a book to each grade in the school throughout the morning.
Royal Oak School students have been celebrating their love of literacy and of author, Robert Munsch, throughout the week of Jan. 23 – 27. Each teacher in the school has selected a Robert Munsch book that they have shared with their class and other classes throughout the week and various student activities have taken place.
Media are invited to attend the all-school assembly featuring these activities and to one of the readings with Spencer Wilson. Principal Lynn Sparks will be available for interview.
