It is not every day that you have an opportunity to ask a question directly to the Premier of Alberta. Grade 12 social studies students at William Aberhart High School welcomed special guests Premier Rachel Notley and Education Minster David Eggen to their school for a question and answer session. Topics ranged from the importance of voting, the role of women in politics and engaging young people in politics. Students also asked about current events such as pipelines, renewable energy, minimum wage and education funding.
The Premier and Minister also had a conversation with students in the school’s Gay Straight Alliance to talk about issues facing LGBTQ students.
